Police in the good city of Fengchenggang in Guangxi Province re-badged their Mercedes-Benz ML350 into a Honda CR-V. There is a lot of criticism in China lately about local governments who waste taxpayers...

via feedproxy.google.com Diginfo shows us a “kiss transmission device” that is being developed by the Kajimoto Laboratory at the University of Electro-Communications: That's right. Because in Japan, we believe EVERYTHING should have the ability to be sent electronically... And you know if they're working on sending kisses through the internet, they've got 2nd, and 3rd base under R&D as we speak. Ever see a movie called "Cherry 2000"? “This device is for communications within the mouth, in other words...

Here's something I missed a few weeks ago in the Japan Times... Last year saw many changes for Japanese Internet users as people began to shift from Japanese social networks to international ones, and from regular cellphones to smart phones. The international influence was felt in other web-based areas too. So what can we expect for 2011? Twitter: The 2010 results for Yahoo! Japan's annual search rankings were not that different from those in 2009. But one buzzword that did jump up drastically...

via foodpic.net Take a look at the mobile phone of any Japanese girl with even one gram of "kawaii" (cuteness) or in her system, and she will have a large amount of memory dedicated to pictures of the food she's eaten at some restaraunt. I've been out on the town countless times and looked around to find some girls snapping away at their latest gastronomic conquest. I used to think this was just something only my over-observant @$$ was noticing and shrugged it off... However recently I've been checking the...

Looks like Facebook is making it's push into JapanLand in earnest now... If you want the most attention as an internet site in Japan, you NEED a mobile presence. Twitter didn't gain traction until they got with the program.... Who would have thought that Twitter would have become such a huge hit in Japan – well it has and this is evident from the millions who mumble online. The reason why people are shocked at Twitter’s popularity in this country is because another social networking site already tried its...

Earlier this week, police arrested two men in Arizona for attempting to trade a third generation iPod touch and about seven grams worth of marijuana for a 32G iPad via an ad on Craiglist, a local ABC station reports. After receiving a tip about the ad, which included photos of both the iPod touch and marijuana (see below), police officers sent an e-mail purporting to be interested in the exchange. When the police met up under the pretense of completing the trade, 20-year-olds Jacob Walker and Jacob Veldare were...

via dattebayo.com Crap. As y'all know, I live here in Japan, home of the best stuff on TV, Anime. My favorite anime for the past 4 years, Bleach, is shown here on TV Aichi at 6pm every Tuesday... But when I can't make it to the TV at that time, I count on DB to hook up a fansub and stick it on the interwebs in tasty torrented goodness... I also managed to stack a good 12 gig worth of all 273 episodes to date. Can I count on crunchyroll to give me the great subbing I count on here every week?? below is...

via Personalize Media This lil' app is a tracker showing how many people are using social media right now and what they’re doing. It’s definitely cool, and really shows the power of social media. It also shows mobile device counts and games-- just click the titles in the upper right there. Interesting, eh? Glad I got into the online multimedia field-- looks like I'll at least be able to have a bowl o' rice and some place to sleep for a while longer... LOL.

via buzz.google.com and Guardian.co.uk "The origins of the primate sex drive go back more than 60m years to the late Mesozoic era when the first primate evolved. A lot of sex has taken place since then, and a significant proportion has been motivated by female choice between rival males.1 Female primates can experience multiple orgasms, and it has been theorised that ancestral hominid females sought out males who would sexually satisfy them. Through the mechanism of sexual selection, this will have increased...
