via feedproxy.google.com Diginfo shows us a “kiss transmission device” that is being developed by the Kajimoto Laboratory at the University of Electro-Communications: That's right. Because in Japan, we believe EVERYTHING should have the ability to be sent electronically... And you know if they're working on sending kisses through the internet, they've got 2nd, and 3rd base under R&D as we speak. Ever see a movie called "Cherry 2000"? “This device is for communications within the mouth, in other words...

Some ideas on ebooks [video] via kevinrose.com I've been thinking of ebooks for a while now... I write for a magazine here in town, @RANmagazine, and I'm kinda in charge of the online side of things. We've placed the mag online so you can read it with your iBooks, kindle and other e-readers... But I agree with what Kevin here is saying. I want more interactivity. People with iPads...

Fabrican is a sprayable fabric created by particle engineer Paul Luckham and fashion designer Manel Torres. The clothing is formed by the cross-linking of fibers which create instant non-woven fabric that can be easily sprayed on to any surface. [via] Spray-On Dress Clothing in a Spray Can via toxel.com Wow. I've often said "her jeans looked SPRAYED ON, while admiring the curves of the opposite sex... Guess someone else with more resources and smarts overheard my "comments"...

via youtube.com In case you missed it... Apple CEO Steve Jobs introduces iPhone 4, with FaceTime, Retina display, multitasking, 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, and HD video recording and editing. All on the world's thinnest smartphone. Remember-- iPhones are the ONLY phones available here in Japan that work 100% with networks in the US, UK, AUS, and most other places in the world. I got people telling me to get an Android phone--and I would if I were still in the States. But all the features wouldn't work...

Just got FTTH 光インタネット (that's fiber optic internet to the English speaking boys & girls) installed. Something that I can't even imagine having in the US in Atlanta right now. Currenty I'm pulling these speeds thru the WiFi in my apartment... TO MY IPHONE. HA. Mind you, this is from here in Japan, to Palo Alto, California USA. When I was back home, I had to make do with a pokey DSL line that was on-again-off-again constantly whenever the wind blew. I think the greatest speed...

via funnyordie.com I was thinking this exact senario when I saw Gizmodo fondling that prototype. That poor engineer... All he thought he was doing was getting a pint after work... too bad he didn't check his pockets when he left the bar.

I know this is an iPad oriented article-- but this paragraph just applies to SO MANY people I encounter daily. Change / Resistance x Ignorance = Devolution. ...It's important to understand who these people are. They're the same kind of people who said automobiles are just a fad, who said nobody wants to hear movie actors talk, who said graphical computing isn't real computing. They believe themselves to be enlightened skeptics. In fact, they're just the kind of people that always come out of the woodwork when...

It seems Japan isn't the only place where cool vending machines exist now... Atlanta has some too! I found a set of video touch panel sporting soda machines in Lenox Mall a few days ago. Check it out! (Also Lenox is the place to find some of ATL's finest females in their natural environment--the mall!) http://blip.tv/file/3405199

Buzzposty. With it, you feed your Google Buzz posts into your Posterous blog (www.posterous.com) I think it may need some tweaking though-- I don't want every single buzz to feed into my posterous; it autoposts EVERYWHERE, and sets off all sorts of chain reactions as it is (note to posterous team: Please work on some way to control what gets posted where through the API so apps like this one don't autopost.) via engadget.com Wow. I mean WOW. This man is the Thomas Alva Edison of the 21st century if this can really happen. KR isn't trying to get rich--he's trying to remake society. Think about this--every conflict in the world right now, is a battle over resources. Mostly oil. This thing can run on biofuel, natural gas, even solar. Imagine going to Home Depot, Kahma, or Wal-Mart and getting one of these. Imagine getting a small brick that powers your car... on a tank of natural biofuel... and not calculating...

via mag.ma Windows 7 looks like a Zune and an iPhone got it on... with a so-so result. I need to see the thing in action later this year... Right now? ビミョウ〜 As far as Japan is concerned-- iPhone has cornered the smartphone market. Windows Mobile has been in Japan for years, and never managed to gain a toe-hold. They're on all 3 main carriers here too-- and even the smaller ones. However, the iPhone came through, acknowledged that Japan is a special market for mobiles with conditions not present in other...

via mashable.com The man could sell fire in Hell, I'm convinced! He makes me wonder why no one ELSE thought of this idea before Apple. And if you didn't want one before, you wonder WHY you can't have one RIGHT NOW! ...yes, I want one, but I'm gonna wait 'til version 1.5 at least, like I did with the iPhone... I don't wanna be an UNPAID beta tester...
